Since the launch of this DVD many people are giving their own historical and current views of the name Crumbsnatcher. Many baby boomers reflect on the use of the name for young children. A search on the internet brings up the association between those who steal crack cocaine from other users.

The intent of the name in the story is to reflect someone who steals the crumbs from the nest of other birds while they are not home. It also reflects the character that generated the name in the minds of  those in his community.

Should You Extend Yourself to Someone Who is Not Worthy of Your Friendship?

post-crumbsnatcher.jpg

Welcome to the Crumbsnatcher Finch site, this is Crumbsnatcher on the right, look at that funny hat. The big bird with muscles is Strong Share Hummingbird. Both birds are entirely different. One is selfish by nature and the other is kind and giving. Yet, they become friends.

The friendship was not started by the selfish one, (Crumbsnatcher) but by the wise and giving bird, (Strongshare Hummingbird.) Does that happen in real life? Someone decides to take  the position of strength by extending themselves to someone who does not appear to have it in them to be friendly?

I mean some would say “Why bother?”
