Thinking Green and Crumbsnatcher

April 26th, 2008 Posted in Fresh off the Press | No Comments »

The phrase “Think Green” relates very much to the Crumbsnatcher Character. Crumbsnatcher is a bright green color. Yet, his character before his transformation, was polluted with his stealing.

After he cleaned up his act and his character restored he actually saved a life with his warning to Strong Share. So, this is a simple message. Let’s all work together to clean up our environment and start the process of saving the lives of our animals, plants, and ourselves.

Birds Of The City

Have you ever felt a little different from the crowd? It is not easy being colored in a black and white world. The first thing you think is “I am different, why did GOD make me that way?” You may feel alone or like everyone is looking at you. Well don’t get paranoid. You are different and GOD made you that way for a reason. Think of how boring the world would be if everything and everyone was the same. Enjoy your uniqueness and what gifts and talents you have that set you apart from the crowd.

Crumbsnatcher is a little green colored bird that lives in bird town. In fact he is the only green colored bird in bird town so he stands out of the crowd. He decided to use his uniqueness to his advantage by wearing a stripped hat and red sneakers. When we are faced with uncertainty about our self esteem or how the world sees us, we need to take a lesson from Crumbsnatcher and dare to be different. So let your true colors shine through and do not worry about someone thinking you are different, or less than acceptable because of your color. You were made perfect by GOD and if he wanted you to be the same as someone else he would have made you that way.

The Newest Slide Dance - Not The Electric Or Cha Cha Slide But …..

February 9th, 2008 Posted in Children Get it, Wingy Dingy | 3 Comments »

Do you know what is so great about a slide dance? The instructions are announced with the music so everyone can follow along. You have to be a good listener to execute each move correctly and in time with everyone else. You don’t need a partner to do a slide and anyone from 2 to 92 can do it.

You may have heard of the Electric Slide, and probably the Cha Cha Slide too, but the Wingy Dingy is the newest slide made just for you. The best thing about the Wingy Dingy is you can not only listen to the instructions, but you have 2 of your friends from Bird Town, Crumbsnatcher and Strongshare, to show you each step to take to make sure you get them right, the Electric and Cha Cha Slides don’t do that for you. Just click the arrow in the video and get to stepping. If you would like to have a copy of the Wing Dingy you can purchase it as part of my story book DVD, and for a limited time you will get the musical soundtrack as a bonus. So what are you waiting for? Let’s have fun and do the Wingy Dingy together.

What Is Crumbsnatcher’s Secret Weapon?

January 9th, 2008 Posted in Meet Crumbsnatcher | 1 Comment »

Superman could fly, Road Runner could run, so what is Crumbsnatcher’s secret weapon? His sneakers. Crumbsnatcher’s sneakers allow him to walk around Bird Town with out anyone ever hearing him come or go. These sneakers turn Crumbsnatcher from the run of the mill every day bird into Crumbsnatcher the Ninja. He tip toes around Bird Town. If you notice Crumbsnatcher is the only bird in Bird Town that wears sneakers. Where did he find them? How does he tie them up and put them on? Does Crumbsnatcher sleep with his sneakers on? These and other interesting questions will be explored in future posts.

Friends – Birds of a Feather

December 29th, 2007 Posted in A Lesson in Friendship, Children Get it | 1 Comment »

One of the most dynamic and difficult things that we learn growing up is the development of a relationship into a friendship. Crumbsnatcher learns that doing the right thing can be fun. In fact he learns that you can develop a relationship that turns into a friendship by doing the right thing.

Crumbsnatcher meets another bird, Strongshare, who likes to do the right thing and is concerned about others. Crumbsnatcher has always had to look out for himself and was never too concerned about others. Strongshare shares the concept of friendship with Crumbsnatcher when he says, “Birds of a feather sticks together”. You see this concept in nature all the time. A number of birds fly in a group called a flock, because there is safety in numbers and they can look out for each other. The video above demonstrates this concept.

Most times these are the same types of birds in a flock, hence the saying “Birds of a feather”, and Strongshare uses the saying in a less literal term to denote friendship. When I was growing up as a little boy in the inner-city there was a song that was popular about friendship and I would like to share a few word of that song with you. “Friends! How many of us have them. Friends! Ones we can depend on.” Having a friendship means that you have a relationship where each of you can depend on the other to help and look out for each other. This is an important aspect of growing up. In the Crumbsnatcher DVD we emphasize the importance of developing a relationship with others who want to do well and making them your friends.
